Has there been a survey identifying how much wear n tear a footwear has to undergo during a year, like tyres?

I amwondering if there are reasearch how much tyres warnout and their durability. Is there any kind of survey as to how much footwear suffer. It will help let governments understand how much poor who walk have to pay to give road to motorists, especially in developing countries.

Reply:i have already proposed to government to impose tax on walking. As they are charging road tax, similarily government will charge walk tax also. W.e.f 01/05/08, any kid born , has to pay one particular amount as a road tax , and the same will be mentioned in his/her birth certificate. Only eunuchs will be exempted .
