pamhughes@surveys.com, just got a survey from this person, and they tell me my time is only worth 20pence uk money, they only pay points, now to answer a survey from here you get 200 points, and a jamie oliver shaker to redeem is 3,580 points, real cash 10.00 uk pounds, the question is where is the justice in working for nothing, the survey teams get paid proper money so why doesn't the answerers
Paid survey's are you jesting!!??
Market research companies, like any others, will pay as little as they can get away with. If they can get sufficient responses at 20p, they won't pay more. In the case of surveys.com they are using a middleman with ipoints so that company will be taking the majority of the research budget. Many other companies however feel that they get better responses if they pay more to the panellist. Pinecone for example always pay £4 and often you'll get a product to test as well whilst ItsYourView pays £1 for every 5 minutes of a survey so a 20 minute survey will also earn you £4. You simply need to be more selective.
Take a look at one of the UK specific survey directories and look through the listing for the most appropriate. http://www.whichsurveys.com for example has 6 pages just of UK sites plus several pages of international market research companies. I earn in the region of £50 to £100 a month on a casual basis using this site.
